Photo booth hire: what you get and what it costs
Published packages run from about $500 to $950 for three hours. The price depends on prints, an attendant and the style of booth.

A photo booth gives guests something to do between the speeches and the dancing, and sends everyone home with a picture. Booths range from an enclosed box to an open setup with a backdrop, and to "mirror" booths, a full-length touch screen that guests pose in front of.

What is usually included
Reading the packages above, the usual inclusions are an attendant to run the booth, props, a backdrop, digital copies of every photo and, in print packages, unlimited prints. Digital-only packages are cheaper.
What to ask
- How long is the hire, and when does the clock start: at setup, or when guests arrive?
- Prints: how many, what size, and is there a guest book?
- How much floor space and power does the booth need?
- How and when do you get the digital gallery?
Pairing it with the entrance
A booth placed at the end of a red carpet, as in the picture above, makes the arrival the photo. See the red carpet guide for runner and post sizes.
